Simceladus begins with living film. From that foundation emerge migrating grazers, blind swarm feeders and large animals that learn from imperfect encounters. This guide follows the food web from its first biomass upward.

Ocean systems

Living film

Transported vent and ocean chemistry becomes the biomass that feeds the entire animal food web.

Sleel

A slender groove traveller. Sleels browse living film, leave depleted patches, and settle where chemistry and shelter promise a lasting margin.

Glass Skipper

Small, quick and blind. Glass Skippers follow animal chemistry, take small bites, and become formidable when many arrive together.

Tarantor

The largest animal in Simceladus. A Tarantor combines sharp senses, a long feeding whip, and memories formed through imperfect encounters.
